Coffee Lover Gift Ideas Under $20

Know someone who is serious about coffee and want to get them a gift that will be sure to impress? We’ve put together some gift ideas below $20 to give you some shopping inspiration this holiday season!

Please note, all prices are guide prices based on research at the time of creating this post.

High Quality Coffee Beans ($10-$20 depending on bag size and brand)

This may feel obvious however you really can’t go wrong with a bag of quality coffee beans. You can never have too many coffee beans! And this is a great opportunity to surprise someone with a new flavour or brand of beans they wouldn’t normally try. We recommend looking for local, independent coffee roasters to buy beans from and making sure the beans are as fresh as possible when purchasing (ideally less than 2 weeks since roasting).

WDT Distribution Tool ($15)

This tool is a great choice for those with an espresso machine. It’s great for evenly distributing coffee grounds when preparing espresso which helps you evenly extract the coffee.

Barista Towels ($15)

Making coffee at home can be messy and it’s always useful to have some quality barista towels on hand to keep your coffee station clean. This nice branded set of cloths is ideal for wiping down surfaces and cleaning steam wands.

Coffee Filter Holder ($13)

If you know someone who uses coffee filters when making coffee, such as for a V60, then a quality filter holder would make an excellent gift. This is a great way to keep your filters together whilst keeping your coffee setup looking clean and minimal. There are a wide range of designs available so be sure to shop around and find one that suits their taste.

Tamper Holder or Tamping Mat ($15-$40)

A tamper holder is an often overlooked piece of equipment which can really give your setup some flair. It’s a great way to store your espresso tamping/distribution tools and is also used to hold your portafilter whilst tamping. This makes a fantastic gift but can be a little pricey. Most tamper holders I found were priced between $25 and $40. If you are looking for a more affordable option, a tamping mat is a great choice too. This helps keeps the worktop clean and scratch free when tamping. When researching, most choices were priced at $10-$15.

These are 5 great gifting options for coffee lovers that can help upgrade their coffee station! We hope this list proved useful and helped guide you in the right direction on your shopping journey.
